Ms. Morgan- 8th grade world history

Thank you for visiting my Schoolnotes site.  I hope that you find it helpful.  This information is intended as a guide.  Ultimately it's the student's responsibility to write down her/his homework in class and bring home the materials needed to complete the homework.

Also, a reminder that student's need to make sure that their work is their own work and done in their own handwriting.  There is not a reason why two (or more) students should turn in work that is the same or very similar.

I will be after school on Thurs. 11/20.

On Fri. 11/7 students recieved a sheet about earning extra credit by responding to Ms. Morgan's history blog.  Students can do this extra credit through Fri. 11/21.

due Mon. 11/17- How did the Black Death affect Europe? poster

due Tues. 11/16- Decline of Feudalism Facial Expressions

This assignment cannot be uploaded to my Class jump site.

due Thurs. 11/20-  Hundred Years' War & Decline of Feudalism Questions & Answers

There will be a Unit 3 test on  Fri. 11/21.

NOTEBOOK CHECKS

Students received a notebook check sheet on Tues. 11/18.  The notebook check is worth a quiz grade.  There is the opportunity to do extra credit for it.  See the schedule below for collection dates.

Fri. 11/21- classes I, E

Mon. 11/24- class C

Tues. 11/25- classes B, G

**I just added a website where I have assignments available to download.  Check out the class jump site below.***
8th GRADE LATE HOMEWORK POLICY-

The eighth grade team's late work policy allows for late work to be turned in for credit only by the end of that calendar week. If a child misses an assignment on Monday, they will be allowed to turn it in by that Friday, four days later. If a student misses an assignment on a Thursday, they will be allowed to turn it in by that Friday, the next day. Exceptions will be made for absences based on the rules in the student handbook. Work of greater importance (such as projects or research papers) may be given more time at the discretion of the teacher.

Late project clarification

My history handout, taped on p.1 in the notebook, explains my late policy regarding projects.  However, it somewhat unclear.  If a project is one or two days late, it loses one letter grade.  If a project is three or four days late, it loses two letter grades and so on for five, six, etc. days late.
