Hi Everyone,

Our class has completed its study of Recycling and the children learned a great deal.  We discussed The Three R's which means, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  They also learned how they could help our planet by turning off the lights when they are not needed and also turning off the water when brushing their teeth when they don't need it.  We made binoculars and telescopes with paper towel and toilet paper holders.  The children helped make a car out of a large box.  We also made a robot out of tissue boxes and bottle caps as well as plastic cups.  They had a lot of fun.

Our next area of study is "Life Cycles".  We will concentrate on The Life cycle of a Plant and The Life Cycle of a Butterfly We will start planting flowers and herbs in class and we will also witness the metamorphosis of live caterpillars into butterflies.  Very exciting.

Please have your children continue to practice writing their names at home.
