Advent Candles

Hey Kindergarten, we're celebrating a birthday! On December 25th we will celebrate Jesus' birthday. I'm so excited!

Just like when a new family member comes into our home, we need to prepare for Jesus to come into our heart. During the season of Advent, December 2 - December 24, we will do "good deeds". We will help with chores at home. We will be kind to neighbors. We will spread Jesus' love in our school. We will do this to show Jesus how much we love Him.

At school we will work hard too. In reading we will practice blending letter sounds into words and sentences. We will blend and read new stories about Ted, Tig, Doll, and Ed. In math we will identify and write numbers 1-10. We will count and compare groups to see which group is greater, less than, or equal to. We will learn ordinals , so we can identify positions such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th. We will work hard and do good in school to show Jesus we love Him and appreciate our Catholic education.

So Kindergarten, we have an exciting Advent season ahead of us. Let's work hard to prepare our hearts and brains for the coming of Jesus. We want to be ready when He comes!

Merry Christmas!
