Important Dates:

 

You will have a chance to log on to Option C this week and view your child’s report card. We will not send home a hard copy of your child’s report card. As you know from the skill sheet I sent home at the beginning of December, I assessed your child on recognizes numbers 0-20, writes numbers 0-20, counts to 50, counting objects to 20. On the hard copy, we were able to check these off, but not on option c. You will receive an email from the office explaining the details to view your child’s report card.

I will send home a Scholastic book order form home on Monday, I will have it due on Tuesday, January 19.

 

Please continue praying for Rhyan, her family and the medical team. Rhyan has been fighting a fever for the past week. There is an update on her Caring Bridge Page. We are always thinking and praying for Rhyan in class.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends! I want to thank all the parents who helped with the very fun and successful Christmas party, especially the two room coordinators, Gretchen Siebert and Tracy Elsenraat! I cannot thank all of you enough for the very generous gifts!

Thank you very much for donating all the hats, gloves and mittens for the kindergarten Advent Project! 

 

Important Dates:

 

The kids have been practicing hard for the Christmas Program! I know they are going to do a wonderful job!

 

Sunday, December 13- Music Christmas Program (grades K-2nd) 1:30-2:30, the kids will need to be in their classroom at 1:00. Please have your child go to the bathroom before dropping him/her off in the class.

 

Our class will be standing on the right side of the alter as you are facing the alter. To have the best view of your child, sit on the right of the alter.

 

If this is your first Christmas program at OLLIS, the kids dress nicely, church clothes, some choose to wear Christmas outfits.

 

Monday, December 14, have your child go to the gym for the Advent Prayer service. We will not be in our room until 7:40 or 7:45.

 

Tuesday, December 15- Field Trip to State Farm to sing Christmas songs to State Farm employees with our Partner In Education, Brian Hazelrigg. For the field trip, the kids may wear their uniform pants, with a Christmas shirt, they may also wear a Santa’s hat or reindeer antlers.

 

I sent an email and a hard copy home with information about the field trip to State Farm.
