On Tuesday November 22 is our Thanksgiving feast, parents please bring the items

that you requested to bring on this day at 1:00pm, so the food can be warm. 

Please dress down your child on this day, Parents are invited to come and stay with their child on this festive occasion.

Dear Prek 5 Parents,

On Wednesday, November23, 2016  Pre- k dismissal is at regular time, 2:35Pm.

If you would like, you can pick up your child at noon (12:00PM) when grades K-8 are dismissed, please notify the classroom teacher prior to Wednesday. There is after school available beginning at 2:35 pm.

Tonight the school system will be testing our IRIS Alert System at approximately 7:00 pm. The IRIS Alert System is used in emergencies to notify families of important information. If you did not complete the Student  Form located on the school website, you will not receive IRIS Alerts. Please ensure that you have completed and submitted the form.

Dear Pre-k 5 Parents

 On Tuesday November 22, the Pre-k class will be having a "Thanksgiving Feast ". The  feast will begin at 1 o'clock; parents are welcomed  to join us on that day. In order for this to be a success, we need some donations from the parents. We are in need of chicken, turkey, corn bread, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, apple sauce, 100% juice boxes and cookies. In addition, 3 long rectangle table cloths, forks, spoons and napkins. The donation should be able to serve 20 children. If you are interested in bringing in one of the items above or would like to contribute something not mentioned on the list above, please let the classroom teacher know.

Please bring these items on the day of the feast.

Dear  Pre-k 5 Parents

We are starting a new study, " Buildings". To get the Study started, we are gathering all sorts of pictures of buildings. We could really use your help. We welcome pictures from any source, such as newspaper, magazine, postcards, printouts from the Internet. It would be wonderful if you could include pictures of buildings in other parts of the world too.

As we study buildings, we will learn concepts and skills in science, social studies, literacy,math, the arts and technology.

What can you do at home

Study your house or apartment buildings that you see together. Talk about what materials were used, how many doors and windows, how many rooms etc.

We will  also include "Thanksgiving" into the lessons.
