Renew - Review - Repeat - Explore - Learn
It is so important that your child/children are ready for school each day. Please be sure they are getting enough sleep....Some of them seem very tired.....they need to be ready for a day of good work during class time.
Encourage your child to think about the assignment given in class....are they using the assignment notebook to remember what is to be done that night or if it is an assignment due later in the week.
Talk with your child/children about LISTENING..RESPECT
Encourage your child to do the BEST that they are capable of. I want them to think quality and not quantity.
Our students need to become more involved in learning...this means more than the work in class. Open up to the many adventures that are around us.

Please talk with your child about their work in class....written work needs to be done in cursive..think before writing and give reasons for thoughts.
complete the sentence and use words that have meaning.....nice and stuff do not describe well.
Are there other ways to learn and practice what the children do in class?
Are the children spending time each day going over something they have learned????
This week is chop suey week....days are cut up...short times etc. adjustments...all a part of learning and how we adjust to what needs to be accomplished.

Check and ask your child about work we are doing in class. Look for the papers that they do. Ask them about the discussions in reading and other classes. It is important that the students THINK more.
SIXTH GRADE PARENTS
Need to have the green sheets about Family Mass returned so we can plan accordingly.
Field trip permission slip and money - in by 10/26 please

RESPONSIBILITY
PLEASE help me to have our children be responsible.
for the homework....classwork....being on time....doing what they should in class....in the lunchroom.
Please talk with them about responsibilities and how they need to take the responsibilities and consequences for what they do.
Homeroom 312 is doing some great strides in organization....desk....notebooks
themselves.

It is critical that your child be responsible and organized.
check with them about what they have to do...due dates...projects....etc.
I will send papers home from time to time to have you sign. This is to keep you in our learning loop. I want you to know what we are doing...Please ask your child why or to explain things on the paper.
Remind your child about neatness.....cursive writing and continuing to be thoughtful.
