 Tuesday: 9:30 Mass with Bishop Tobin. All are welcome. Students must be in FULL uniform including sweaters. They should bring their sneakers for gym.

Wednesday: Lifetouch will be here to take pictures for sports teams and clubs.

Friday: Free Dress Down Day!

 Please remember to send in recipies for our School Cookbook. Fourth grade has Pasta or Casseroles but any recipe would be appreciated. These will make a wonderful Mother's Day gift at only $10 each!

4A will be having an extra gym period every other Tuesday. Students should wear their gym uniforms every Tuesday and Wednesday from now to the end of the year.

         Below you will find a new and exciting program I am trying this year. It is called the Mastery Club. This "club" is for students who want to go above and beyond what we learn in the classroom and are up for a challenge. Students can pick any challenge, click on the link next to the challenge and learn about a specific topic. They then come to me during snack or recess and complete the challenge. Some will be written and some will be oral. Once they complete a challenge they will receive class money. I will keep track of the challenges and award the students a certificate at the end of the year. I will also post their name on the wall of our classroom for all to see!  The students seem very excited about Mastery Club and want to begin right away. Thank you to Mrs. Renz who has given me permission to adopt this wonderful project. Good Luck Students and Have Fun!!!

Tuesday: Music (please have journal,recorder and book) 

Gym (every other Tuesday)

                                Wednesday: Spanish(have homework) and Gym

                               Thursday: Art and Computer(have homework)

Our Week Ahead...

Reading: (4A and 4B) We will be reading from our text book, How Ben Franklin Stole the Lightning.  I have a class copy for each student. We will discuss vocabulary, fact and opinion, and different types of language. Students should be reading their book for their biography project.They have been given a note taking sheet to use as they read to help them pull out the information they will need to create a scrapbook on their person. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Book should be read by Monday, February 27th.

Math: Mrs. Payne will be teaching Math to 4A and 4B.

Spelling: Units 10 - Vocabulary Test on Friday.

ELA: We are discussing adjectives.

Social Studies: We are discussing the southwest states. We will learn about the economy, climate and and history of the southwest. We have begun work on our State Projects. Students have mailed their letters and returns are coming in!

Religion: We will begin Chapter 8 - Learning About God's Law

Science: We will read and discuss Chapter 7 - Weather and Climate
