CLASS PROCEDURES:
School rules as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct will be strictly adhered to. Disruptive and poor behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. Students are to be in their seats and ready to begin when the tardy bell rings. Once the seating plan has been finalized, attendance will be taken using the seating chart. Students not sitting in their assigned seats will be marked absent. Students may be moved to other seats by the teacher at any time during the school year in order to meet changing classroom and student needs. Please, do not bring food, drinks, MP3 players, IPODS, or cellular phones to class. If you must bring a cell phone to class, please turn it off or place it on silent.  Using a cell phone during a test will cause a student to earn a zero on that test.  Above all, treat the classroom and everything in it with respect.

TARDY POLICY:
If a student is outside the classroom door upon the ringing of the tardy bell the student will report to room D-1 for a tardy slip.

ATTENDANCE:
School attendance shall be the direct responsibility of parents and students. All students are expected to attend school regularly and to be on time for classes in order to benefit from the instructional program and to develop habits of punctuality, self-discipline, and responsibility.

MAKE-UP WORK:
Attendance is critical to your success in this course. If you must be absent, all work should be made up according to school policy. It is your responsibility to obtain all make-up work at http://new.schoolnotes.com. A student absent on a test or quiz day should be ready to take the test or quiz the next day of attendance.

ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE:
Fletcher's National Honor Society holds free tutoring sessions in the Media Center after school  I will have help sessions after school on Mondays and non-early releasr Wednesdays until 3:00 P.M. Students will need transportation home at 3:00 P.M., since the activity bus does not leave until 4:25P.M. If you need assistance outside of help session or class time, you need to make an appointment with me in advance.

GRADE RECOVERY:
To be eligible for grade recovery a student must do at least 80% of the assignments during the quarter. The student's attendance must comply with the attendance policy. The student should have sought help from Ms. Watson by attending after school help sessions and shown a willingness to improve their grade during the grading period.
