Mrs. Angelillo's 6th grade Science Classes

Dear Parents & students,

It has been my pleasure having all of you this school year!

About 3 weeks ago, I went home to Georgia and my father was very sick, and our family will be moving to Valdosta, GA. to be nearer to him.  I will miss you all!

We have had a great year! I have enjoyed the last 4 years at Palmetto & Best wishes to you all.  I posted the finals schedule below for your convenience.  Remember to click on remove me from notify list if you do not wish to recieve anymore schoolnotes updates.  Have a great summer with your families!!!  I am entering late work & CW/HW#5 as quickly as I can get grades recorded.

Friday- 6/3- Review Study Guide for final exam w/Silent Dynamo game

Next Week Exam Schedule:

Monday- regular release, 1st period final- 1:40-3:50

Reminder- early release tues., Wed., & Thurs. at 2:30pm, & no book bags, just bring study guide & textbook for classes you have finals that day in.

Tues-Finals in 3rd & 5th

Wed.-Finals in 2nd & 4th

Thurs.- Final in 6th from 9:15-11:00am

 If you are considering adopting our classroom IF you adopt ONLINE, Key Biscayne Women's Giving Circle is matching $25 online adoptions that started September 24th (1st come basis until $3500 grant is used up). That was one of 2 papers handed out at open house.  I attached website under links.

We have ordered 5 interactive weather maps, 6#s of clay for hands on geology formations, and 8 stereoscope glasses for reading elevation maps so far this year through adopt-a-classroom donations.  I just placed a 2nd order for sling psychrometers and 15# blue and green dough for our landforms 2nd quarter!  Thanks for adopting our class!!!

                       Classroom Rules:                      1.     Be in your seat before the bell rings.                                                               2.        Be respectful.

3.        Be prepared for class.

4.        Listen to & follow directions .

5.        Do not eat, drink or chew gum in the classroom.

        Materials:                                      3-ring binder with 5 dividers, paper,

pencils (NO PENS, except when correcting)

thin markers or color pencils, notecards

        Science Fee:                  $5.00 to cover cost of consumable lab materials.

~          Quizzes (1 grade) (usually on Friday)

~          Class work assignments/Home-learning (5 CW/HW=1 grade)

~          Lab write-ups (1 grade)

~         25 Fun Facts= 1 extra credit (can replace a missed CW/HW at end of quarter)

~        1 Free HW pass on student's Birthday (summer B-days will all recieve one soon)

~         25 Fun facts with questions/best guess/correct answer = 1Extra credit

~          Parents that attended open house = 1 free HW pass

please write student name, period, assignment to be used for and your name to use parent HW pass for your child if/when you have emergency-1 time use)
