Basic Information

* We have lunch at _____ every day.  If you are interested in eating lunch with your child you will just need to check in the office.

* Planners will be sent home everyday.  Please check and sign daily. Homework will be written in them daily as well as behavior marks for the day.  This is also a great way for us to communicate.  We will be able to use the planner to relay messages, questions or concerns.

* Homework will be assigned 4 times a week Mon.-Thurs.  There will be exceptions on special days or short weeks.  I will attempt to let you know via the planner if your child has not completed the homework assignment for the day.  Math will be assigned each day. Phonics, and Spelling will also be included as well as reading.

* Behavior marks- In my class students receive up to 5 points a day.  I do this rather than the color system which you may be used to.  I use the points in various ways.  If students stay on a five all week they get to eat lunch with me.  If they earn at lease 80% of their points for the week they receive Fun Friday at the end of the week.  Also, at the end of each quarter the person receiving the most 5s will earn a prize.
