Tomorrow should be yummy!

Upcoming tests and quizzes:  Friday - Reading Quiz

Homework:

Grammar: none

Spelling: none

Reading:  Food and sign due on Friday.  Remember, your sign should have your name, the name of your book, the name of your food, and an illustration or something handmade by you about your book...in other words, no printed out pictures or clip art.  Please add contains dairy if it contains dairy!  This is only worth 15 points, so it does not have to be elaborate.  However, it is worth 15 points, so it shouldn't look sloppy or just thrown together.

We will be celebrating in the cafeteria at 2:00 on Friday.  We would love to have parent helpers.  If you can come in to help, please email and let me know.  We need parents to come in at 1:30.  Thanks!

The next book report is on a Biography or Autobiography.  It will not be due until March.  I am not going to send home the book report directions and rubric until next week so that there is no confusion about the requirements for Friday.

Our Lenten Retreat will be on Tuesday, Feb. 28 this year.

Our next field trip is on Wednesday, Feb. 29.  It will be an exciting week!

The Doodle4Google event for 2012 has begun.  Our SJNRCS artists have been very successful in the contest, in fact; we have had two State of Georgia winners in the 4 years we have participated.

This year the winner will be awarded a $30,000 college scholarship, a trip to New York for an event on May 17, 2012, a Google Chromebook computer, a Wacom digital design tablet and a t-shirt printed with his or her doodle on it. The winning logo will also be featured on the Crayola 64 box and the Google site. The winner's school will receive a $50,000 technology grant towards the improvement of the technology program.
