Hello Fifth Grade Students and Parents,
We are almost finished!!! This is our last official week of school. Remember, 5th grade students do not attend school on Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24. On Wednesday May 25 we will have our field day and awards. Field day will begin in the morning and awards start at 11:15 in the gym. You must attend field day in order to receive your awards on that day. Students may leave with their parents from the gym after awards. RELIGION BEE- Our Religion Bee is scheduled for this Thursday, May 19 at 1:45 in St. Ursula Hall. Parents are encouraged to attend. Please continue to prepare by studying the packet that was given before Mardi Gras holidays. MASS this Thursday is the 5th grade Mass. Please join us if you can at 8:45 in the church. YEARBOOK COMMITTEE REQUEST- We are in need of candid/action shots of 5th grade BOYS BASKETBALL and 5th grade GIRLS BASKETBALL. If any parents took pictures they can email them to tjoseph@mbsbr.org First In Math- PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR STUDENTS TO GET ON THIS WONDERFUL MATH SITE!!! The student who earns the most points in the previous 24 hour period gets to wear the First In Math Award for the Day!!We are happy to have access to a Math program that students may access at home as well as at school. I am proud of all of my students who are taking advantage of this wonderful and challenging program. Keep up the good work! It is so much fun to see where we rank in the diocese each day! Go 5th grade!!! Safety Patrol - Team 6 this week TUTORING- I am available for tutoring on limited days before and after school. If you are interested please email me and we can work out schedule/rate. I update this page once weekly for the upcoming week. Occasionally there are changes that become necessary during the school day are not made on this site, but they are stated and posted in the classroom. It is the responsibility of each student to note these changes. Individual assignments are not listed, but these are also posted in the classroom on a daily basis. Students are responsible for recording daily assignments in the assignment pad provided to them on the first day of school. Any classwork that is not completed during the day should also be noted since it becomes homework at that time. All assignments are due on the following day, unless otherwise noted. Please check their assignment pad frequently to be sure they are keeping it up to date. Love, Mrs.Ortego

You may email the results to me @ jortego@mbsbr.org or print it out and have a parent sign it. This must be turned in on test day. NO LATE PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. (5pts.) For Science the students may make vocabulary cards and turn them in on test day. All vocabulary words must be done to receive credit. The cards must be turned in on CHAPTER test day.
