See Favorite Links at bottom of page for MATH COUNTS TEAM page. ACCELERATED MATH NOTE: As your child completes an Accelerated Math assignment, he/she is asked to review all incorrect answers. After I verify understanding, the assignment is sent home. If you are not seeing at least one assignment per week, please ask your child, "Why?" ROUNDING POEM
Underline your number. Look RIGHT next door. Four or less, just ignore. Five or more, add one more. · Progress reports are e-mailed weekly -- IF I HAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS > Work missed for absences will be posted as ABS and will count as a zero until received. > If missed work was completed in class or as a group lab, it will be posted as an OMIT and will not have a negative effect on your child’s grade. > A grade of NoNm is assigned when more than one paper is received without a name. > Work not turned in by the student will by posted as an NTI and count as a zero until received. This work must be given to me within one week of your receipt of the progress report. Please discuss extenuating circumstances with me as soon as possible. > If you see a possible error on your child’s report, please notify me immediately. I am not infallible and will thank you for caring about your child’s progress. > If you requested an emailed weekly progress report and are not receiving it, please email me or call me. Email is very unforgiving and a correction to your email address may be needed. · I do not give extra credit. Students and parents often ask this question after missing a number of assignments. If your child is completing his/her work and asking questions when confused, there is no need for extra work for your child or me. I often give BONUS items on assignments and quizzes. Encourage your child to complete these items to receive additional points. ALL students should practice all bellringer problems on a daily basis to improve skills. Check your child's binder for problems and answers.
