Dear Students and Parents, Our next unit of study is Volleyball. We will be teaming up with Mr. Moeller's 6th grade classes and team teach this unit. Students will learn: rules of volleyball, rotation, court markings and skills. We will then put our skills to work in game situations. Each class will create 4 teams and each team will play the other seven teams in a tournament. Grades will be based upon skills tests, written test, participation and game play. Students will also finish taking our fall physical fitness tests. These tests help us to assess where student's strengths and weakness's lie in terms of fitness skills and will help us plan to improve fitness levels throughout the year. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to earn the National Physical Fitness Award or the President's Challenge Physical Fitness Award. This unit will run through November 13th. This link will take you to my personal web page, where I post materials students need for class. There are additional links for physical fitness requirements.
