Week of February 6-10, 2012 

Upcoming Events:

Jesus Loves Me Party February 14--Students will exchange Valentine cards, your child should bring a card for each student in the class, we have 15 students.  We will be making bags in class to hold all the Valentines.

It's that time of year--  Please note the dates that each part is due, the green folder with the forms filled out must be turned in on the due dates to receive full credit. Please let me know if you have any questions.

 Research & Bibliography Due February 14

This is the research pages in the green folder.  Your child should write/type what they learn from their research.  They must have 3 sources, no more than 2 websites, and no wikipedia.  If they are interview someone that person must be a professional/expert in the field.  They will need to fill out the bibliography pages in the folder for that part of this assignment.

• Please help your child to remember to wear tennis shoes every Wednesday for PE
• Please help your child remember their library every Thursday
• Be sure to check the calendar for upcoming events!

Reading Logs are due on FRIDAYS!  They must be filled out and signed to received a grade.  Book It will be due March 2nd.    Six Flags reading logs have also been sent home.  Your child may write their time on ALL 3 reading logs.

Spelling--List 18

This is a review unit.  We will choose 25 words from the past 5 lists.  Only regular spelling words will be included.

Test on Friday, February 10

New in Math this week:

• simple measurement equations
• roman numerals 13-30
• I have put in the attachment section of this page of all the measurements your child needs to have memorized to be able to do the measurement conversions.
• TEST on Friday
•  Please spend some time each day with your child reviewing multiplication facts 2-7, division facts 2-7, and addition and subtraction facts.
