All students received their progress reports today; don't forget to bring them back tomorrow with a parent signature.
1st/2nd Pd: Students will have a test tomorrow based on the One-Step Equations with Addition/Subtraction. Homework for today is for students to study their classwork/notes and examples from the smart board lessons on one-step equations.
4th Pd: Students finished up their notes (foldable) on unit rates, Proportions, and Ratios today. Homework for today is for students to take home their foldable and study the notes and examples to prepare for tomorrow's test based on proporitons, ratios, and unit rates.
5th/6th Pd: Students finished their Proportions projects today with some enjoyable skits. The students did a great job on these projects and I am so happy to see them enjoying the math. Students that will be re-testing tomorrow on the post-test based on proportions, unit rates, and ratios. They have been given a study guide to assist them in studying for their test.

1st/2nd Pd: Students finished up their classwork based on One-Step Equations with addition and subtraction. Homework for tonight is to finish Pg 35 Handout on One-Step Equations (students are to show work on the back or separate sheet of paper). I will not accept just the answers. We will be working on One-Step equations tomorow based on multiplying/dividing.
4th pd; Students worked on their foldable for Proportions/ratios/ and Unit Rates in class. We will be finishing up these notes tomorrow in class so students may take home to study for their upcoming quiz on Friday.
5th/6th Pd; 2/3 of the class finished up their extended lessons on Proportions, ratios, and unit rates.; a post-test will be given on Friday based on these mathematical concepts. The other 1/3 of the class started their proportions projects today; students enjoyed watching a taped video based on solving proportions with hand puppets in addition to watching a very creative skit about proportion problem solving set back to midevial times (very entertaining).

1st/2nd Pd: Students finished their classwork based on the CRCT Coach Book on dividing and multiplying mixed numbers. Students worked with manipulatives today with a Smart Board Lesson to help understand One-Step Equations. We have been practicing adding/subtracting one-step equations. Students will be quizzed on one-step equations this Friday.
4th pd: Students have started ratios, Proportions, and Unit Rates in both math classes today. Students started a foldable based on proportions, ratios, and unit rates. The foldable is here in the classroom until it is complete. Students will have a quiz on Friday based on proportions, unit rates, and ratios.
5th/6th Pd:
2/3 of the class practiced setting up and solving proportions with a Smart Board lesson. The other 1/3 of the class worked on their proportion project. This project is due in class tomorrow. 2/3 of the students will be given their post-test this friday based on proportions, unit rates, percents, and ratios (these are the students who did not recieve an A on thier pre-test).
