We have had a great Catholic Schools Week!  Thursday at 8:30am we had a half hour "Curl Up and Read" time. Everyone in the school was a quiet as a mouse.  What a great way to start a day!

Today we had all-school Mass followed by the distinguished alumni award.  The recipient this year was Judge Richard Ward.  He gave a heartfelt acceptance speech stating the importance of an early school foundation based in faith.

I am very excited to announce that again this year, for the 8th year in a row, we have a Columbus Children's Theatre Child Writing Project winner.  This is a record unmatched by any school in Ohio!  Third graders Ray B. and Joey U. won with their story called "A Trip to New York."  They and their families will be the CCT guests at the premiere of the show "Color A Story" in March at the Columbus Museum of Art.  The library will be sponsoring "Color a Story" here at Bishop Flaget on April 26th at 9:00 am. Parents are welcome and I will posting a reminder on School Notes again before the show.  Congratulations Ray and Joey!!!

I had a phone call from Marvin Riley a few weeks ago.  He asked if I had any current books on the Vatican in the Flaget library.  I said that I did not.  He then told me that he and his wife, Della, would like to make a donation.  Following all -school Mass today Marvin presented two beautiful National Geographic Books on the Vatican.  Thank you so much to Marvin and Della for the wonderful gift.  They are a great addition to our library and they will be used a lot.

A big thank you to Gwen Miller for donating a box of books to the library.  I am always thrilled to receive current books in good condition.  Recycling helps save the library budget for special things like sponsoring the Columbus Children's Theatre show.
