“How can I repay the Lord for all His goodness to me?” Psalm 111:12

 

 

Reading: We will begin a new theme, Art All Around. We will read Warthogs Paint, be introduced to the new high frequency words me & where, discuss the robust vocabulary words create, imagine, extraordinary, design, and decorate. 

Phonics: We will learn the letters Yy/y/ and Zz/z/, we will blend sounds, match letters, and write CVC words.

Handwriting: We will learn to write Yy and Zz.

Math: We will conclude Chapter 10 with a pretest and test. We will begin Chapter 11,Understanding Subtraction.  We will discuss separating and take away.

Religion: We will conclude our chapter on the Holy Spirit.

 

PM Activities:

We will work on completing some of our classroom projects that you will see coming home this week.

 

*Tuesday: We will participate in field day this year. Please have your child wear a t shirt in his/her team color that day.

 

*Wednesday: We will have dress rehearsal for graduation in the gym with Mrs. Barrett.

 

*Friday: We will visit my house and have our Fun in the Sun! Please see attached note for details.

 

*Monday, June 4:Graduation… please have your child report to Room 202 in Pius X Hall at 9:00am. Graduation will begin at 9:30.  We are so excited for this day! It is truly hard to believe that it is here. What a wonderful year we have had!

 

*Kindergarten report cards will be mailed home at the end of the school year.

 

*Thank you for all of your support and love this year. This year has been magical. I will miss this class very much. Have a safe and fun summer!  I will see some of you at Round Up to First Grade! J I am still accepting registrations.
