Hello and welcome to Mz Byrne's keyboarding class! You do not have homework in this class, per se, but it is a good idea to practice your keyboarding skills every chance you get!! This is the most important skill you will learn in junior high! This skill is sure to be used a lot during your lifetime. Learn it the right way now and you will never regret it. Keep your fingers on the home keys and do not look down at the keyboard.
We are learning on our new Alpha Smart laptops, so I am unclear at this point how the grading is going to go. I have to take my students through it first to see how fast they are advancing. As it stands now, if you keep your eyes off the keyboard, do your personal best every day in class, stay on task, and improve your skills, you will receive a B. An A will be reserved for those students who push themselves beyond their comfort zone. I expect students to be able to type accurately at 25wpm.
