Week of May 7, 2012

Congratulations to all the students who have received their First Communion.  How I enjoy hearing the stories of each student's special day! It is amazing how the light of Christ shines through each one as they recount all of the beautiful details. 

Reminder:  Our Recognition Mass will be held on Monday, May 21st.  Students should come to school dressed in their 1st Communion clothes. Mass is at 11:00.  Class pictures will be taken immediately following the Mass and then students will be dismissed to their parents.  

***** Attention all parent whose students who will not receive First Communion by May 21st:  Every child's FIRST Communion must take place with his/her home parish.  If your child will not receive his/her First Communion by May 21st, he/she should attend the Recognition Mass.  This allows all students to share in the communal experience and be part of the class photo that will be hung on the wall in the hallway. Your child will receive a blessing and take part in Eucharist with his/her classmates next year, after First Communion has been made with your parish community.  Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thursday:  Religion, Chapter 10

Friday:  Math Test*

             Simple Solutions Test

** The Math Test will be a combined Ch. 8/Ch.9 Test.  The reason for this is we have been covering the material in these two chapters the second half of the year in Simple Solutions.   Therefore, we have covered the chapters fairly quickly since it has not been an introduction.  The test will cover adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers and rounding to the hundreds place.
