***REMINDERS*** *Thank you to all who attended Back to School Night. We appreciate your cooperation and hope it was an informative night. *TESTS* All tests need to be corrected, signed, and returned. We keep your child's tests on file for each cycle. After each cycle is over, we will send all the collected tests home for you to keep. Please make a great effort to review all tests with your child and make sure he/she is understanding the concepts being missed. All of the tests given in second grade will be announced. Most likely, tests will be given on every Friday. Encourage your child to study for all tests so he/she is most prepared come test time. Thanks again for all your support and cooperation!!! * Please make sure your child is arriving to school on time each day. Students are to arrive to school at 8:00 but have until 8:30 before they are marked tardy. If your child arrives after 8:30 they are marked tardy and sit in the office until Morning Announcements are finished. It is crucicial that your child attends Morning Announcements for it is the beginning of their day and it sets the tone for the rest of the day. Let's work hard to have each child get off to a good start each and every day! Thank you for your cooperation! * PARENTS: Homework should take no more than 20-30 minutes a night to complete. Pick a cozy, quiet area for your child to do his/her homework in every night. Make sure all supplies are available in order for your child to complete homework successfully. ALL homework is to be colored. This helps to develop your child's fine-motor skills. If your child is taking longer than 20-30 minutes, please let us know and we will offer them extra help in class. Please only complete the side that is stamped. Remember to sign each homework assignment nightly. Both homework and responsibilty folders need to be returned daily. Please make sure your child is coming to school prepared.
