Weekly Homework

Homework Policy: Homework is an extension of our classwork. Weekly assignments are given to students on Monday for the week. Parents are to review your homework sheet with you. This verifies that we all are communicating the weekly homework assignments. All completed weekly assignments are due Friday morning unless otherwise noted by the teacher.

ASSIGNMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF November 2^nd – 6^th

SCIENCE

·        Ms. Rothstein will continue with the Landforms Unit.  We will be studying and making topographic maps. It is important for your child to maintain his or her Science notebook. Ask your child what they know about maps.

MATH

·        We will be using stem and leaf and median, mode and range to solve problems.  Rounding decimals to the nearest tenth, hundredths, and thousandths.  We will be using algebraic equations to solve problems and take another Blue Diamond quiz. ______ Parent Initial

·        Additional homework will be assigned.  Please check your child’s agenda nightly and check over their work with them. Once you have checked their work with them please sign the agenda.

LANGUAGE ARTS WITH MR. DUFFIELD

·        In Reading, we will continue our study of main idea and supporting details.  Students will practice this during guided reading centers with the “Time for Kids” magazines.

·        Unit 2: Lesson 7 will be covering the Revolutionary War.  Pages 87-95 will be covered, check agenda for homework.
