Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on parts of speech and informational writing.  We have been working on topic sentences, body of a paragraph, and closing sentences in our writing lessons. 

We are almost finished reading "Saving the Griffin" and the students have absolutely loved this story!  We will have a small project to do when the story is finished, so please be watching for the handouts next week.  Right now it looks like we will begin reading "Tales of Despereaux" next.

Just a few reminders:

1.  Please remember to sign behavior logs every night. Please just sign one night at a time. 

2.  Your child needs to read every night and log that into their folder and then have you sign their folder. Also, please just sign these one night at a time.

3.  Our next Spelling Test is October 28th.  The words are listed here and can also be practiced with the flashcards.
