Tuesday:  Review for Benchmark--Workbook p. 187, CRCT Workbook pp. 76-78

Wednesday:  Benchmark (Data Unit--graphs, measures of central tendency)

Thursday:  Go over Benchmark and make corrections as necessary; A Million Fish...More or Less Activity (bar graphs, mean, median, mode, range, line graphs)

Friday:  Zap Zeroes--make up any work missed during the 9 weeks; Preview for next Unit--multiples practice

Week of Sept. 28-Oct. 2

Monday:  Finish Graph Project

Tuesday:  Reading Graphs--Frequency tables, line plots and histograms; Lesson 23 in Coach Book--Answer questions 1-5

Wednesday:  Interpreting Graphs; Lesson 24 in Coach Book--Answer questions 1-8

Thursday:  Choosing an Appropriate Graph; Lesson 25 in Coach Book--Answer questions 1-6

Friday:  Stem and Leaf Plots--Dice Activity

Week of Sept. 21-25

Monday:  Review mean, median, mode, range

Tuesday:  Practice MMMR

• Complete Birthday survey for HW (due Thursday)

Wednesday:  Quiz over mean, median, mode, range

Thursday:  Begin graphs

• Add words to math dictionary (see below)
• Turn in birthday survey--if not finished turn in tomorrow
• Correct quizzes and turn in at beginning of class tomorrow

Friday:  Begin birthday graph project

I hope every one had a nice relaxing weekend. This week we will begin our unit on data collection. The students will be learning how to survey, collect data, and organize the data into many different types of graphs. Test corrections were handed out today and are due no later than Thursday September 10th.
