We will be working on the following Georgia Performance standards (GPS)



ELA6R2: The student understands and acquires new vocabulary and uses it correctly in reading and writing



ELA6W1: The student produces writing that establishes an appropriate organizational structure, sets a context and engages the reader, maintains a coherent focus throughout, and provides a satisfying closure.





ELA6W2: The student demonstrated competence in a variety of genres.



ELA6W4 The student consistently uses the writing process to develop, revise, and evaluate writing.



ELA6C1: The student demonstrates understanding and control of the rules of the English language, realizing that usage involves the appropriate application of conventions and grammar in both written and spoken formats.

2. The secret Garden follow-up activity project list (students must complete one of the project choices listed on the handout they recieved yesterday to complete) *The project is due on Monday Nov. 30th.

3. Turkey Book project (This project is due this Friday.) Students make create their own 10 Ways to Become a Turkey book. (ten varied sentences with illustrations) Students were shown examples of how to complete this project, and they recieved a rubric that explained how they would be graded.
