Mrs. Spencer's Weekly Agenda
Important Notes: · Students are required to take at least 1 AR test each week. This score will count as a reading grade every week. Please see the suggestion under ELA. · Weekly progress reports will go home on Tuesday, · All papers with “rem” written on them are used to introduce & build 4th grade skills. The scores will not be included in students’ nine-week grades. These papers allow all stakeholders to see strengths, growth, & areas of concern. English Language Arts: · Rigby Theme 7 Week 1 · Vocabulary development (Frayer Models are a graded reading assignment. Please stress the importance of your child completing this task.) · Monitoring Understanding · Writing Instructions (Student-Created Thanksgiving Recipes---YUMMY!) · Main & helping verbs (English) · Verb Tenses (English) · Daily Language Review · Read 20 minutes every night. Parents must sign reading log each night. · Cold Comprehension Test on · Verb Assessment on · Spelling test on · Daily Language test on · Fluency test on · At least 1 AR test must be taken by Friday, 1. You can check out 2 library books. 2. Check out a small book on your level and a chapter book (if you enjoy reading chapter books). 3. Take your AR test on the smaller book (on your level) and continue reading your chapter book. 4. Read your library book every night. This will serve as your 20 minutes of reading.
