Tuesday, 9/1/09: Two paragraph analytical writing: First paragraph:Compose a focused thesis statement comparing or contrasting Sherman Alexie's "Postcards to Columbus" with Leslie Marmon Silko's "Lullaby." Make sure your thesis is debatable. In the second paragraph, use a quote from each of the writings to support your opinion. Make sure you use quotation marks and proper citation. (indicate the lines of the poem and the page number from the story). Remember all of the rules we went over today. Check your notes. Bring in a typed copy. You must also submit this onto turnitin.com for a grade.
