WEEK 37 - COURSE REVIEW

 

Typical Student - Exam Week! 

 

Parents: 

 

Good afternoon!  Well I don’t normally “call out”individual parents for anything, but I just want to give a special “shout out”to one Leslie Delozier today.  Mrs. Delozier made some casseroles andbrought them to the school for Teacher Appreciation Week, and I must say . . .. . WOW . . . . . they were AMAZING.  I truly love Mexican food, andLeslie I will tell you right now – that Mexican dish you made was enough tomake me wanna hit my mama!!!  It was outstanding!!!!  If you decideyou’ve had enough of Mr. Delozier, and you want to cook for a different family,just call me.  I’m sure me and Patti can work out a deal for you to comeand live at our house!!  Truly – it was great, so to you – THANKS!!!

 Now on to what matters . . . . .

 We finished up a QUICK study of theRenaissance/Reformation yesterday, and today we are reviewing for a test wewill take on Monday.  I hate Monday tests, but I don’t have much choice astime is running out.  Please encourage your child to take a little time onSunday night to review their notes.  You and I both know studying tonightor tomorrow is NEVER going to happen . . . . and that is okay.  They canstudy a little on Sunday and do just fine.  Here’s the calendar for theupcoming week:

 

Monday – Test

 

Tuesday – English EOC; Review in my class for EXAM

 

Wednesday – Math EOC; Review in my class for EXAM

 

Thursday – I will pass out a review sheet, andhelp students begin to prepare for the written portion of the exam comingon Monday (5/21)

Friday – Continue Exam Review; ANNUAL DAY!!!During 5/6 period (weather permitting)

 
Exam review will begin on Tues/Wed, but really begins in earnest onThursday/Friday of next week.  The exam is broken into 2 parts(written/multiple choice) and will be given the week of 5/21.  It countsfor 20% of a student’s final average, so please encourage your child tostudy.  I’m going to help them here on my end, but I need your help athome too.  I know they get tired of us harping on them to study, but theyneed it!!  Flash cards, or writing information down, or having you callout stuff to them is a good way to study.  Sitting on the bed or in achair and reading notes is NOT!!!!  Get on them!!
