6th grade accelerated math

I hope this will be a great year for all of us. I hope all of you enjoyed your summer and are ready to start the 2009 -2010 year.

August 24th and 25th

Students will need to take their math packets home for parents to read and the parents will need to fill out the information sheet and have the student return the form the next class period.

August 26th and 27th

The students will have a crossword puzzle to complete for homework on place value of numbers and an addition and subtraction worksheet.

August 28th and 31st

The students will do workbook practice page 1-2  problems   3,6,9,12,15,17,21,24 and reteaching page 1-3   problems   2-24 even only.

September 1 and 2

The students will do a worksheet on adding and subtracting decimals that also involve story problems and rounding numbers.

September 3 and 4

The students will do a worksheet on multiplying and dividing with decimals.

September 8 and 9

The students need to study their notes from chapter one and be prepared for the chapter one test in class on Thursday for silver and Friday for gold.

September 10 and 11

the students will have a worksheet on reading comprehension and decimals that will be for an actual grade. 

 September 14 and 15

the student will do workbook practice 10-1 problems 2-30 even and workbook practice 10-2 problems 4-24 even.

 September 28 and 29

Students need to study for the chapter ten test. Study all the notes and vocabulary for this chapter.

September 30 and October 1
