I've been thinking of the many meets I ran in during track season in my high school and some college years.  I ran the short distance relays like the 100, 200, and 400 meters. These were distances that only would last from 10 seconds to a little over a minute.  As soon as you hear the gun shot to start, it seems you are already crossing the finish line in no time. 

EOG's are like a track meet but not the same events.  The EOG's are more like those runners I looked up to... the 1, 2, 3, and so on mile runners! They knew how to pace themselves and keep a steady beat with their feet. They had to make sure they were in it for the whole race. There's no quick run and you're done. It was a long, steady, but ready race. These guys had to prepare also. 

Just like these marathon runners, students are marathon test takers!  Remember to take your time on EACH single problem. Just like each step is taken with a steady pace, take each problem with care! Be sure to highlight important words, underline the question, read the problem 2 or 3 times, eliminate wrong answers, then check your answer. It will pay off when you cross that finish line!!!
