It is May and just so hard to believe the end of our school year is near.  The children have matured and progressed significantly.  It's been a wonderful year.  This month will be a very busy month for us at LCA.  The following is an overview for this month.

The PS3's will be learning letter recognition and the phonetic sounds for Ww, Xx, Yy, and Zz.  We will be concentrating on number 15 and its concept.  Also, we will be counting to 30.  Our Bible stories will include The Good Samaritan and some favorites we have covered during the school year.  Our memory verses are "Honor thy father and thy mother."  Matthew 19:19; and "The Lord is good to all." Psalm 145:9  The final two weeks of school will be a time for review.  We will be working on a alphabet/numbers booklet.  We will be working daily to complete this booklet; therefore not as much seatwork will be sent home in the  children's folders.  (Just know we are working hard in class even though little is coming home.)  :)

We have been working on several chapel songs for our End of Year program.  You are invited to join us on Friday, May 11 from 12:00-1:00 in the House of Worship (same place we had our Christmas program).  Regular school attire will be fine.  The children will be dismissed at the end of the program.  FYI..... T/TH classes will also be performing during this time.  You may drop off your child in my classroom on Friday prior to the program (time TBA).  We are excited to perform for you!  The kids are fabulous performers.  :)

I want to thank you all for such a wonderful school year.  Your support is truly valued.  Thanks for sharing your AMAZING children with me.  They have been such a blessing to me.  I am very proud of all the progress they have made.  I pray you have a fantastic summer vacation and memorable times with your sweet family.
