Parents, the end of the school year is almost here! I can't believe that this is our last full week. I loved getting to know all of my students and have been blessed that I was given the opportunity to teach them. I will miss seeing their sweet faces and am sad that they are leaving my classroom. I hope that I can keep in touch with you all! Thank you for being a wonderful group of parents. You were all such a wonderful blessing. :)

I will be sending home all of your child's belongings this Friday. 

What your child is learning this week.

Phonics- Review of all the letters learned, blends, and marking short/long vowels in words.

Handwriting- Review of Yy and Zz.

Numbers- Review of 1-20. Counting 1-100. Reviewing smaller, larger, greater, and lesser. We will be reviewing addition combinations. Introduction to 6+1=7 and 7+1=8.

Language Development- review of past lessons

Bible- No more verses. Review of bible stories learned.

Reading- Reading circles. Please practice reading simple 3 letter words and simple sentences. Ex: Sit on the bus. Pam can run. Review of sight word a and the. Review of the 2 vowel rule. We are also reading words with long vowels. Ex: mate, cape, pine, note

At home- Parents, please practice the following:

Bible verse, letter sounds and recognition, counting 1-100, addition facts, and blends, reading words with long or short vowels Ex: not, note, pan, pane.

Important Information-

Parents, please send in a change of clothes for your child. Please send in clothes even if you think your child will not have an accident. It is always better to have clothes here, rather than have a child waiting on their parent to bring some.

We are collecting Box Top Labels and Campbell's Labels for our school. Please send them in if you have any.
