Mrs. Andrea's November 2009 Notes:

  Letters for this month are: Nn, Mm, Hh, Ss, and Cc.

  Number are 7, 8, and 9. As always we will continue to  count and learn one to one corresponence.

  Our Bible Stories are: The Lions cannot Hurt Daniel, and a brief review of some previous Bible stories. The First Thanksgiving.

Fun Days for the month:

Nov. 4 - Chapel Performance - Davey Davey 

Nov. 5 -  Boomerangs Field Trip - Make sure you have signed a waver for your child!

Nov. 6 - Mix and Match Day  for the letter Mm - Actually this is a day where nothing is matched or worn correctly. I think I have already seen this on a couple of my students!! Be as mismatched as you can be !! Our snack for the day will be mixed up munchies! Everybody will bring in 2 cups of their favorite snack item. Goldfish crackers, M&M's, pretzels, etc... we will mix everything up and see what we have.

Nov. 9 - Phonics test over the letters and sounds of t, l, b, n

Nov. 11 Hats and Happy Meals - We will be wearing our Hats and eating Happy meals for the letter Hh. 

Nov. 11 - Roar Store - This is a fun place to buy school spirit items once a month. Time is 8:30 to 8:50.

Nov. 13 - Dine to Donate - Chick fil A on Main Street in Lewisville. 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, 20% of sales from flyers turned  in goes back to LCA. You can register win a $25 Chick Fil A gift card.   Stop by and have lunch or dinner and help out LCA.  

Nov. 19 - Thanksgiving Feast - this is a wonderful time to come and feast with your little pilgrim or indian. Parents, Grandparents, siblings are welcome to attend. There is a small fee. Details will be coming.

Thanksgiving Break is from Nov. 23 to 27th. See you on Monday November 30.

   A great website for learnig games   is  www.starfall.com .  Each game  starts easy and gets harder as your child plays the game. There are several games from alphabet to reading. Check it out!                   

 ~~~~Just wanted to give you the date for our Christmas Program. December 8 at 6:30.This will be only a Preschool perfomance, the Elementary performance will be on another evening.~~~~

Specials Schedules

Monday - Library 11:40 - 12:00

Tuesday- Computer Lab 10:00 - 10:30

Thursday - Storybook Theater 9:00 - 9:30

Library- Every week we will visit the Library at school and each child will get to check out a book. All the books the children check out will stay in the classroom. Each child will get a chance to drop their book in the book drop to return it back to the library.

Chapel- Every Wednesday ages 3 year old through the 4th grade go to Chapel. There is lots of praise songs and an age appropriate message. All parents are welcome to attend. There are seats at the back where you may sit.

Storybook theater-

Every Thursday Mrs. Tena Mitchell reads a story to the children  and shows short video clipps using the world wide web to support her story. In the past the children really enjoy this.

Computer lab-

Children go two times a week and play a wide variety of games that teaches them many computer skills.

Spirit Day-

Every Friday is Spirit day. You may wear your Lakeland blue T-shirt and jeans or shorts. It is the navy blue t-shirt with the Lakeland white crest on the front. Stay and Play-

This is an after school program where the children stay and just play. The preschool teachers are the teachers for stay and play. The hours are 1:00 - 3:30 Monday through Thursdays.

I am looking forward to great year. I am so excited about how much your children will be learning and how much fun we will have doing it.

If you ever have any question, please do not hestitate to ask.

I am always available after class except on Tuesdays ~ I haveto get to Stay and Play.
