Bible Verse

Philippians 4:4-5

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again:  Rejoice!  5,  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  7.  And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.  9.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice.  And the God of peace will be with you.

Bible-- God's Concern for You--Memory verse and Quiz will be on Friday.  The Bible Verse will be a written fill in the blank.

Spelling-- Lesson 22-Extra words:  19.  expense  20. annoyance  21.  detour

   22.  longhorn  23.  derrick 24.  oil  25.  channel.   Spelling Test will be on Friday.

Language--  Chapter 9-Pronouns. Chapter 9 Test will be on Tuesday.   We will begin Tall Tale writing.

Reading--  We will read pages 330-361. We continue with comprehension work.

Math-- We continue to work with fractions, and speed drills.   There will be a test on Friday.

History--We will continue the Texas History Unit.   You need to help your child decide on a project and a person to do a biography summary and dress up resembling that character.  This note is due back by February 7.

.  Just a reminder--Blue jeans on Friday--no other color.  Jackets need to be the uniform color.

Parents, please do not send any snacks to class that have any peanuts in them.
