Words of Thanks

I would like to say a personal thanks to those of you in the PTF who provided the delicious chili lunch for the staff a few days ago.  It was a delicious treat for sure!

Also, thanks to all of you who sent in food for our Holiday Food Drive.  We won!!  We will be treated to a popcorn party coming soon.  Thank you so much for your very giving spirit.

Book Report.....Book Report....

The students have been asked to read a fiction chapter book.  The report assignment will be given out on Monday.  There will be questions to answer about the main character and setting.

LAKELAND CHRISTIAN ACADEMY OPENS NEW HIGH SCHOOL FOR 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR

We will have a college preparatory curriculum that will offer dual high school/college credit courses, along with expanded athletic and fine art opportunities.  Of course, we will continue to provide domestic travel experiences.  The goal is to expand to international travel for our secondary students.  Tell your friends!!

This week we will be reviewing units 7-11.  On Friday, we will have a test of 25 words coming from these lists.  The weekly additional words will not be included on the test.

Our reading class will include Biblical truths and various comprehension and phonics skills.

English:  Verbs

We will finalize the study of verbs this week and have a chapter test on Wednesday.  Look for the review sheet on Tuesday.

The book report over a fiction chapter book will be due on Friday.

There will be a chapter test on Thursday.

Students should be working on the 6's in multiplication/division.

Our math curriculum will include speed drills and weekly tests.  Please help your child establish a study time each day for the facts especially the multiplication as they are presented.

We will study complete the study of the circulatory system and begin the skeletal system.  There will be a quiz on Thursday.
