LCA Core Values
aRT ROOM GRADING POLICY ...students are graded on three basic criteria: - Craftsmanship and completion of project - Demonstration of new learned skills - Effort/Behavior
ELEMENTARY GRADING SCALE: E = Student meets and goes well beyond expected criteria.(97 - 100%) S+ = Student meets and exceeds standard expected criteria.(90 - 96%) S = Student meets standard expected criteria.(85 - 89%) S- = Student falls just below expected criteria.(80 - 84%) N = Student is not meeting expected criteria.(70 - 79%) U = Unsatisfactory(Below 70%)
A student's effort and behavior are PRIMARY in the grading process. "MAKE AN EFFORT, NOT AN EXCUSE" ART RULES are posted in my room and consequences of breaking the rules start with a warning and repeat offenses warrant a note to teacher to be sent home to keep parents informed of behavior. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Please keep in mind that a student who is consistently absent from art classes not only does not have a FUN art project that is completed, they may have a grade that reflects this. AND, I miss seeing them! :) There should be no need to take home art work in elementary however, if there are special circumstances, please let me know and I will be happy to work with your student. ART CLUB Meets Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:30. |
