WEEK OF:  May 21, 2012 UNTIL END OF YEAR

5^th Grade Science SOLs:  SOL Testing/ Women In Science Unit

5^th Grade Science:  On Monday, May 21st, students will take their Science SOL Test.  After that, there will be a few days of instruction.  Students will study three women scientists who have made advancements in the field of science.  Students will learn about Marie Curie, Rachel Carson, and Sally Ride.  They will complete various graded assignments on these women.  All graded items for these women will go home inside Wednesday folders. 

 5^th Grade Homework:  NO HOMEWORK

5^th Grade Graded Items:  Marie Curie Packet (one grade); Rachel Carson Packet (one grade); Sally Ride Packet (one grade)

4^th Grade Science SOLs:  4.9 VA Resources

4^th Grade Science:  Students will continue to study VA Resources and complete pages inside their binders.  No unit tests are scheduled and all binder checks have been completed.  Graded items for SOL 4.9 VA Resources will be minimal.

4^th Grade Homework:  NO HOMEWORK

4^th Grade Graded Items:  Any SOL 4.9 VA Resources graded items will be open binder
