It has been a busy trimester.  I have completed classroom guidance on cyberbullying in all the Science classes.  Hopefully, the students went home and talked with their parents about what was discussed.  A website that was used to assist with teaching this to the students was NetSmartz.org.  There is a parent component to the website if you are interested in getting additional information on cyberbullying and technology safety for your middle schooler.

It is getting close to time for 7th grade students to register for next year.  Next year Daniels will be on a quarter and semester schedule instead of trimesters. These changes will allow Daniels to be on the same grading schedule and course calendar as other middle schools throughout the county.

Changes are also being made to the electives being offered for next year, ie. some may become yearlong or semester long or quarter courses rather than trimester electives.  These details are still being worked out at this time. 

Once I have gone into the classrooms and talked with the students, these forms will be sent home for your signature.  The student information form with Math and Language Arts placement will be on the front of the form.
