Hello Parents!  Monday, 6/1 is an Early Dismissal Day. 

As the weather gets warmer, please send your child to school with a water bottle.  This will help them to stay hydrated and a bit cooler during the day. 

This Friday, June 5th from 11-1 is our Picnic.  You may want to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for lunch.  We are planning to have games at 11 and will eat our bag lunches around 12:15.  Feel free to bring a lunch.  Please join us if you can!  You should have received an e-mail from Mrs. Miller about our picnic.  Your child has been assigned an item to bring for our ice cream bar.  Thank you to those of you that already sent in your itemss. 

In ILA whole group this week, we will read biographies.  We will work in flex groups to share our schema and learn new information about famous people who had an impact on our country. 

In SPELLING and WORD WORK, we will take a second review test on Friday.  The spelling list will consist of 30 words that your child was tested on at some point during the school year.  Please refer to the homework pad for the nightly assignments.  We had fabulous scores on last weeks' review test!  Great job students and thank you parents for your support!   

In ILA WRITING, we will continue to work on persuasive writing.  We will learn how to incorporate some persuasive language and build good reasons to convince someone to agree with an opinion that we have. 

In EVERYDAY MATH, we will continue with unit 12, which is a review of all the units from this year.  We are planning to assess the skills in unit 12 on Tuesday or Wednesday, June 9th or 10th.  Please return the unit 11 math test as soon as you can.

In SCIENCE, we took our unit assessment on Friday.  This test will come home Tuesday to be signed.  

In SOCIAL STUDIES, we will return to our unit called OUR CHANGING WAYS.  We will finish this unit over the last 2 weeks of the school year.
