Mr. Sherman's Bio
I am in my eighth full-time year of teaching high school mathematics. Over the course of my career I have taught classes including Foundations of Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Algebra 3/Trigonometry. For the first four years I taught at Manchester High School, a large public school in suburban Richmond, VA. During my final year there, I had a 100% passing rate for my Algebra 1 students on their end-of-course state assessment tests. Since arriving at Bishop England, I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2 (AI and AII), and Algebra III, and served as the adviser of the Speech & Debate team. A product myself of a Catholic education (Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown, PA), I have a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Plenty of sharpened pencils (mechanical ones are best).
1 dry-erase marker -- any color.
IMPORTANT: If you miss a quiz or test, you only have ten school days to make it up! Make-up quizzes are available AFTER SCHOOL by appointment. Make sure to let me know when you would like to stay so that I can be sure I have no other after-school engagements that day! If you do not make up the work within ten days, you may receive a zero.
