Greetings to parents ann students of Miracle Academy Preparatory School.  I trust that you have enjoyed your summer vacation and are ready to resume your educational journey.

PLANE GEOMETRY AND CHEMISTRY

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

• All students are required to bring his/her textbook to class each day.
• Students need a three-ring binder for taking notes and for storing graded papers each day.  One needed for each course.
• Students must bring an ink pen and two (2) #2 pencils each day.
• Students must bring a calculator each day.  CELL PHONE CALCULATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
• Students must bring a compass, protractor and a (1) foot ruler with U.S. and metric units each day.
• Student must have an up to date Berkeley County library card.

Class Rules:

All rules will be goverened in accordance to the Student Handbook 2009-2010 and each student is expected to be familiar with the rules as outlined (see Miracle Academy web site (www.miracleacademy.org)

Class Procedures:

• Students must bring all required materials to class daily.
• Be prepared to work when you enter the classroom.
• Homework will be discussed at the beginning of each class period.
• Quizzes may or may not be notified in advance.  All tests will be announced.

Students are required to write down all assignments before leaving the classroom.

GRADING:

• Homework, Classwork, Class Participation---25% of final grade
• Field trips participation and summary----10% of final grade
• Quizzes (announced and unannounced) -----25% of final grade
• Tests (chapter and unit) -------40 % of final grade
