Welcome to Mrs. Currie's First Grade Class!

The school year is going great!

We go to lunch each day at 11:50. You may come and eat lunch with your child any day you would like but please be sure to sign in at the school office before coming to the classroom. 

We have P.E. each Tuesday with Mrs. Earnhardt our P.E. teacher. Please make sure that your child wears tennis shoes on this day.

Your child will bring home a homework folder and agenda each night (Mon-Thurs). Please check your child's homework before signing the agenda. On Thursday's a folder containing all of your child's work for the week will come home. Please take all of the work out of the folder, sign it, and send back to school on Friday.

Please remember to put any lunch money that is sent with your child in an envelope or ziploc bag with your child's name and lunch number written on the outside and place inside their folder. 

Continue to work with your child on counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's.

Please listen to your child read nightly so that they can take a Book Adventure test the next day.

Practice reading sight words and number words nightly.
