Dear Parents,

We have had a great beginning to the  school year with only a few tears. It does take some time to adjust to a new routine and to build up stamina to be at school for a whole day. The kids worked hard  and played hard all week. We have been practicing cutting straight lines, curved lines and zig zag lines. We have been working on learning how to write our names and learning what our classmate's names are. The kids have done some rainbow tracing and coloring.  We have met all of our zoo phonics animals, who will help us learn the sounds the letters make. We have been working on counting and positional words in math. On Monday we will start our reading core series. Please do the daily practice to reinforce the new skills for the week.
