This website does not allow me to notify you with changes just yet, so please check in often!!  Thank you!

Dear Fourth Grade Parents,

Many times our homework is to 'study'.  Please remember this does not mean to drill and memorize the work.  This means read, go over, begin an understanding of the material and vocabulary, or review the material and vocabulary.  Meanwhile in class, we are reading, discussing, and taking notes on the same material.  Unless there is a quiz or test scheduled, this type of studying should habitual and nightly.  In this manner and with this frequency of study, the students should have an easier time with the test material.  Of course every student is different, so the time will vary, but on the whole, the nightly study should be less strenuous than studying for a test.

Our Math and Science series have online student editions that could help your children practice and study these subjects. You can access these tools by following these links.

Use this access code:  D8C44532EF

Science:  http://www.macmillanmh.com/ose/

This online Science edition is a little different than our classroom book but contains and expands on our classwork so should still be helpful.

Also, please check the Math and Science links at the bottom of this page. You will find many activities that complement our lessons.

Homework--Homework should take about forty minutes to an hour.  When vocabulary goes home to study, unless there is a test, this is just a study/practice time.  Also, when the assignmnet is to read pages of Science, Social Studies, or any subject, we also will be studying and discussing those pages in class.

Please check in here often for updates, test dates, links to helpful websites, and many other bits of information.

Also, please remember to look into PowerSchool to view your child"s progress.

Thank you,

Victoria Boyle
