-Choose a baseball player to research for your project.  Choose an alternate or two also in case you don't get your first choice. Every student must report on a different player.  The player can be past or current.

-Baseball Legend assignment due Friday, 3/4. 

-Midterm - March 8 - The midterm will be in CRCT format with readings and related comprehension questions.  The essay relate to the Quest book, Baseball, a Story of America, which was read in class.  Students will be able to refer to the book while writing their essay.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED FOOD AND OTHER ITEMS FOR OUR GEORGIA DAY CELEBRATION THIS PAST FRIDAY!  THE DAY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS.  THE STUDENTS HAD A GREAT TIME EATING AND DRINKING ALL OF THE GOODIES.   WE COULD NOT HAVE HAD OUR CELEBRATION WITHOUT YOUR HELP.

-Midterm will be given on Thursday, 10/14

-Students should use their review sheet as a study guide and they should prepare a pre-write for their essay.  Students were given the essay question and a rubric.

Reading

-Midterm will be given on Friday, 10/15.  The midterm will be in a CRCT format so their is nothing specifically to study.  Students should continue to read each night for at least 30 minutes and focus and participate in class.

Students will be registering to vote for the Webb Bridge Mock Election on October 18 and 19 during their lunch period.  The election will take place on October 27!
