Welcome to AFM. This course is designed to strengthen Algebra II skills as well as gain some of the advanced skills to continue onto Pre-Calculus. This is an activity based class to let students see how advanced math is used in real-life scenarios. My goal for this class is to have students strengthen their problem solving skills, gain strategies for solving real-life problems and to acquire insight on what Pre-Calculus is all about.
Required supplies: 3 ring binder paper TI-83 Graphing Calculator or higher pencils (NO pens) Journal/Notebook We began Chapter 3 today, which covers various topics on how to analyze and interpret graphs of functions.We will be video taping another class activity on Friday, March 19th. ********There will be a test on Chapter 2 this Friday March 12th. I will be handing out progress reports tomorrow (March 10th) with all up to date grades and are to be signed and returned FRIDAY. ****I am available for tutoring every morning 7am-7:25am, during West Block, and after school 2:35 pm - 3:15 pm daily. Please notify me prior to staying so I can be sure to be at my classroom. Please use the link below to help re-teach, review, or practice to better prepare for tests and quizzes. There are extra examples worked out, extra practice problems with solutions, and self-test quizzes. This can be a great tool when you are absent from school, could not make it to tutoring, or just to see it again. |
