HOMEWORK FOR PARENTS:   (The kids are loving this!  You get to do their homework for once.)  In the novel, the Elders of the Community decide the job assignments for the children when they are 12 years of age.  I am asking you to assume the role of the “Elder” and select a career for your child.  Please write a paragraph explaining a career that suits your child and give the reasons why you feel they would be successful with this "job assignment."

Please do not reveal the contents of your paragraph to your son/daughter. We are going to have a special ceremony where they will find out your selection.  Please email me the paragraph by Friday,
December 9.  This is worth 10 points to your child's grade.  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!  (email:rpenderville@stlouisedemarillac.org)
