Class Work:

Students are responsible each day for completing their work during class.  Class work includes bell ringers, notes, assigned problems, study guides, and activities.  If a student does not finish their work during class, they may come in before school or during directed studies to finish.  If a student cannot come before school, they can arrange a time with me to stay after school.  If a student does not finish their study guide during class time, it should be taken home and completed before the test.  For a student to receive credit for assigned problems, they must write down the problem, show all work involved in solving the problem, have an answer, and if necessary, make corrections.

Tutoring:

I am here every morning at 7:20am.  If your child needs extra help, they need to see me the day before to get a pass to come to my classroom before school.  I am also available Fridays from 3:05 – 4:30.

Make- Up:

If your child is absent, it is their responsibility to find out what they missed and make up their missed assignments.  They can come before school and copy the notes from my notebook or get the notes from a classmate.  They may also check their answers to any assignments and get help with corrections.  Another way to find out what they missed is to check my website.  Students may also come in during directed studies to work on any incomplete work.

Tests and Quizzes:

Tests are given every week or week and a half.  Quizzes may be announced or unannounced.  Material on tests and quizzes will cover material currently being studied and might also have material that has previously been studied throughout the year.

Grade:

Tests: 40%
Class Work: 40%
