Student Services (previously named Special Populations) provides services that focus on the recruitment, enrollment, instruction, retention, placement, and follow-up of vocational/technical students preparing for high skill, high wage occupations and/or nontraditional employment in new and emerging careers.


The purpose of the instructional services is to enable students to be successful in their chosen vocational and technical education program.

Students Services

Goals:


To provide academic assistance, career development services in addition to transitional services to ensure success for students enrolled in a vocational program.


To provide information on vocational technology educational programs, opportunities and nontraditional education and training.


To provide individualized and small group instruction.


To provide assistance to assure that students have every opportunity to succeed in a vocational program.


To provide periodic consultation and intervention as necessary.


To monitor student progress toward state performance levels.


To monitor the effectiveness of programs and services offered by the Greenville Technical Center.
