STUDENT SERVICES FOR THE MONTH

OF - FEBRUARY

Student Services

Student Services (previously named Special Populations) provides services that focus on the recruitment, enrollment, instruction, retention, placement, and follow-up of vocational/technical students preparing for high skill, high wage occupations and/or nontraditional employment in new and emerging careers.

 

Purpose

The purpose of the instructional services is to enable students to be successful in their chosen vocational and technical education program.

 

Goals

 

  • To provide academic assistance, career development services in addition to transitional services to ensure success for students enrolled in a vocational program.
  • To provide information on vocational technology educational programs, opportunities and nontraditional education and training.
  • To provide individualized and small group instruction.
  • To provide assistance to assure that students have every opportunity to succeed in a vocational program.
  • To provide periodic consultation and intervention as necessary.
  • To monitor student progress toward state performance levels.
  • To monitor the effectiveness of programs and services offered by the Greenville Technical Center.
