I have lots of awesome things planned for this year. Be prepared! You will also have homework assignments posted on this webpage every week. They will be due the following Thursday. These assignments are not optional. If you want to make a good grade all you have to do is complete the work to the best of your ability. Sounds pretty easy, right? (The answer is yes!)

Required Supplies: (DUE September 2nd)

• Snap close supply holder
• Small box of #2 pencils (No mechanicals)
• 3 prong pocket folder
• Large vinyl or pink peral eraser
• 2 Black Sharpies

Homework:

1. Go to Ms. Smithers website > http://schoolnotes.com/28125/smitherskm.html
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to Some Favorite Links
3. Listed will be the date, homework assignment number, artist name and featured work
4. Click the appropriate link
5. Choose your favorite piece, click enlarge and print it out
6. On the piece of paper include:
a. Your name
b. Date
c. Your class period
d. The featured artist’s name
e. The title of your artist’s work that you like/dislike
f. 5 sentences supporting your opinion

Remember that homework is graded on a check plus (100%), check (90%) and check minus (80%) grading scale so BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY for full credit!
